189 by Dominique Ansel
Creative Takes On Classic Comforting Dishes, Made With Heart.
Chef Dominique Ansel’s first full-service restaurant comes with a serendipitous story. The number 189 references his original bakery address in New York (189 Spring Street), which coincidentally was the same street address in LA as well (189 The Grove Drive). “It was meant to be,” says Chef. Situated on the second floor above the Dominique Ansel Bakery, the menu is driven by the food they love – casual, honest, and with a bit of surprise. The food is rooted in traditional French techniques, but the flavors range from different cultures and uses the best California produce.
Serving dinner nightly, and an interactive brunch featuring seasonal dishes served family-style, on the weekends. A full wine and bar program rounds out the dining experience.
